U.S. defense officials said they are hoping they can persuade Canada to help close the training gap. Canada has said it will send 950 trainers—not necessarily specialized—to replace its combat forces after they leave at the end of 2011. Washington wants Ottawa to send at least some of those trainers earlier.A spokeswoman for Canada’s Department of National Defence said planning for the training mission was still under way [see 2) here].

And we are sending almost a 1000 Canadian trainers to this hellhole? For what ? To be killed by the trainees ?
We should have been out of there as promised by Harper mid 2011… lock, stock and barrel.
