Bush made a mistake based on erroneous intelligence, so now the science community expects us to act again based on deliberately erroneous intelligence. "Scientists now believe that the rainforest, estimated to be 9.9 million years in age, could be more resilient than originally thought" I dare say. The average tree only lives a few hundred years and a forest turns over it's crop every thousand or so years,dominant species die off and are replaced by others. In 9.9 million years this has happened about nine thousand times, so "resilience" is the norm. Mother Nature is a tough old broad, not the fairy earth-child depicted in all the "save the planet" propaganda. The comment by Judith Curry is rather bizarre.
