I dare say. The average tree only lives a few hundred years and a forest turns over it&#039;s crop every thousand or so years,dominant species die off and are replaced by others. 

In 9.9 million years this has happened about nine thousand times, so &quot;resilience&quot; is the norm.

Mother Nature is a tough old broad, not the fairy earth-child depicted in all the &quot;save the planet&quot; propaganda.</description>
