My brother was in town for a week, which was nice because it gave me a chance to play tour operator for a beautiful part of Canada that I often forget is in my backyard. We drove up the Sea to Sky highway to Squamish, had a picnic at Shannon Falls, drove to Brackendale and looked at the Tantalus mountain range, then drove to Murrin Park for a hike. Pictures were taken with both my iPhone4S and Nikon D40. They’re a little blue because many of them were optimized for iPhone viewing.

Pit stop at Brittania Beach.

Coming around the bend that reveals the great monolithic Squamish Chief.

The kids hiding under a tree at Shannon Falls.

Molly enjoying the sun.

There’s still snow in many places, even in the lower elevations, which creates these pure water runoffs.

Returning to Squamish.

Murrin Park and its beautiful granite walls.

Molly stands next to Browning Lake at Murrin.

Browning is a shallow lake, which is why it has a beautiful green hue.
