Have you seen the film Avatar? If so, then you probably remember the psychedelic plants and trees during the night scenes, and the varying hues of greens and blues. To a certain extent, I think that the coastal British Columbian rainforest is even more incredible than anything presented in that film. I’ve never been able to do justice to the forest with photography, but the hues of green coming from the different kinds of foliage, the lichen and moss covered trees, the luminescent fungus that stands out in the dark greenery, are all variously and visually beautiful.
