Celestial Junk be correct. PMSH is a vivid example of too clever by half. Obsessed with petty tactical considerations he has literally thrown it all away.
Just an example — The Gun Registry would now be dead and gone had not Harper prorogued Parliament. That was Steve’s brilliance in action. Pettiness and short-termism are his hallmarks.
Tactics before results. And the tactics themselves have FAILED.
I warned others on BT’s that the G-summits were the last straw, and since that point the Conservatives have lost at least 5 points in the polls. The Government and the Party are living on borrowed time. Harper must go.

You do realize that by proroguing parliament, Harper was able to restructure the senate committees to favor that Tories. Without that restructuring the liberal dominated committees in the Senate would have prevented C-391 from being passed in a timely manner or even at all.
If C-391 passes its 3rd reading it should go through the Senate rather quickly because of the prorogation you so casually condemn.

Harper is a Progressive Conservative, instead of enacting legislation to deal with boat loads of illegals he drafts a policy to “Educate the public on human smuggling” gawd that is a page torn out of the Progressive Left’s playbook. Instead of doing something tangable he plays who’s a little silly bugger and insults’ intelligent Canadians. I don’t need to be educated and I am insulted at his inference that we are mental midgets in need of education once again a play from the progressives’ playbook.
When we need strong leadership he’s silent, he allows Liberal MSM to frame the debate, his refusal to be proactive is infuriating. Sorry but he’s a gate keeper, keeping the seat warm for the Natural Governing Party alala Modern Liberals. We are going to lose the next election, and we have no one to blame but Harper and his weak leadership.
He’s not holding his mouth right when he reads the paper either .
