I don’t understand. Canada is in a MUCH better deficit position that almost every other western nation in the world. And when I say “MUCH” better I mean “MUCH MUCH” better.
Ok. But when you’re running $20bn structural deficits, maybe wait until you’re back in surplus before giving “advice”.

I thought the whole point of sound finances was to operate in the black… you know, NO deficit… I will never be happy that after taking over 50% of mu earnings, my government still wants more because it cannot, will not live within it means.
Flaherty is a hypocrite. The nerve told lecture others when he is at fault.
