…or incredibly incremental family reunification, minus one. Margaret Wente of the Globe and Mail provides a perverse, er, exemplar:
…Aqsa’s father and her oldest brother arrived in Canada in 1999 as refugees from Pakistan. In those days, it was easy to buy a ticket to Canada, claim refugee status at the airport and be accepted. The Parvez males came from a backward rural town with strict Islamic values and a culture of domestic violence. They brought these values with them. They also set off a wave of chain migration that continues to this day.
In 2001, Aqsa’s father, Muhammad, brought over his wife, Anwar Jan, and their seven other children. Aqsa was the youngest. All the older children were eventually married off to first cousins back in Pakistan, in unions arranged by their father. All the spouses have emigrated to Canada. Thirteen people lived in Aqsa’s house, including three sisters-in-law…
I make that two compounding (talk about a geometric increase) into around fourteen or so in around ten years. The joys of our immigration policy and the multiculturalism it so principledly promotes. This multiculturalism:
…
“I think what we are doing to this country is that this idea of multiculturalism has been completely distorted, turned on its head to essentially claim that anything anyone believes – no matter how ridiculous and outrageous it might be – is okay and acceptable in the name of diversity.“Where we have gone wrong in this pursuit of multiculturalism is that there is no adherence to core values, the core Canadian values, which [are]: That you don’t threaten people who differ with you; you don’t go attack them personally; you don’t terrorize the populace.”..
But let’s keep bringing them in till we reach 100 million real fast (end of this post)

Marrying blood relatives is not suppose to be legal in Canada yet that man shipped his daughters off to Pakistan, I presume, to marry blood relatives why are we allowing that? Cousins marrying cousins increases the chances of children being retarded or born with birth defects, there are legitimate reasons why we don’t let Uncle Tom marry his niece and retardation isn’t the only reason incest is repulisive but apparently completely acceptable for immigrants.
I was just driving home here in the West Island and I noticed a high school bus dropping off students – I swear half of the girls were wearing niquabs. Then I continued down the road and there was a woman dressed in a burka.
I only had two children – I’m beginning to feel I made a big mistake!
