Prime ministerial (and presidential) priorities

What someone raised in Canada might have written had he turned his eyes north:

But Harper sees his wartime duties as a threat to his domestic agenda. These wars are a distraction, unwanted interference with his true vocation — transforming Canada…

But the prime minister seems unfortunately to have abandoned any such “vocation” or agenda, hidden or otherwise–see 2) here.  As well as abandoning the Afghans.

Where were all these do gooders when PM Harper wanted to extend the Afghan mission.Liberals ,NDp,Blockheads were all against it.MSM were yelling and screaming.Well they are getting their wish and like Iggy said the Coalition and MSM will wear the withdrawal from Afghanistan.Put the blame where blame is due.And let a little of this blame go to the Canadian public as well, for they were screaming bring them home also at the time.Check out the facts before blaming the Conservatives.

    Absolutely right on Bert!

He put it to a vote, as was demanded of him by the “Coalition”, the media and other left wing squawkers. The vote said “bring them home in 2011″.

Now those same squawkers are complaining. This was never about Afganistan, this was about partisan politics. The PM called their bluff, they got what they demanded and now they have the audacity to complain?

I just wonder what the naysayers would be saying if he turned around and went against the wishes of the Parliament of Canada?
