1. Adrian MacNair found driving 93 km/h on the on-ramp to a highway in Vancouver with a posted speed limit of 50 km/h in June of 2008. Given $360 speeding ticket.
2. Rahim Jaffer found driving 93 km/h in an area with a posted speed limit of 50 km/h zone in Palgrave, Ontario, while drunk, and in possession of cocaine in September of 2009. Given $500 fine.
Update
Liberal MP Anita Neville for Winnipeg South Centre stood up in the House of Commons today during Question Period and accused the Conservative Party of hypocrisy for their “tough on crime” attitude, while Rahim Jaffer got a slap on the wrist. Justice Minister Rob Nicholson said it was an “irresponsible question”, and demanded an apology.
